R4R Young Adults group

R4R Young Adult's group: open to anyone within Highland aged 16-25 who is neuro-diverse, has a social communication difficulty and struggles with their mental health or wellbeing. The project involves young autistic adults (16-25) from across the Highlands, in the development and extension of our services for young adults, providing opportunities for them to plan and participate in a variety of physical, outdoor activities and social events (evenings, half-day/day, weekend residentials): for example a monthly evening or Saturday activity, occasional weekend residential. Since January 2025 we have been running activity sessions for a small group of young adults, meeting on Friday mornings sometimes at Abriachan Forest Trust (archery, bushcraft, walking, biking), but also at other locations for other activities (canoeing, kayaking, biking, learn to ride biking, climbing). We also run fortnightly mountain biking sessions for young adults on Tuesday mornings (11am-2pm).
